Founding Growth

Build the interfaces and infrastructure that brokers and their customers interact with every day.

About the role

We're building an AI operating system for insurance brokerages. Our agents handle the full service stack: quotes, renewals, endorsements, intake, and triage trained on carrier guidelines, appetite guides, and underwriting manuals, and wired directly into the systems brokers already run on. The goal is to give every brokerage the capacity of a team twice its size, without adding headcount.

We're hiring a Growth Lead to own how we reach and convert brokerages across Canada and the US, build the outbound motion, and get General Magic in front of the right people. You'll work directly with the founders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own outbound across email, LinkedIn, and phone. Run experiments weekly, measure what works, and double down.

  • Build the GTM playbook from the ground up. Sequences, scripts, segmentation, conference strategy, partner channels.

  • Work the brokerage circuit. Show up at Applied Net, ITC Vegas, NetVU, and the Canadian events. Build real relationships in the room.

  • Drive named accounts from cold outreach to signed pilot. Move deals through the pipeline yourself, not through SDRs.

  • Partner with the founders on positioning, messaging, and how we tell the General Magic story to brokers and carriers.

  • Use and build AI tools (Claude, Codex, automations) as leverage.

About you

  • You're a hustler. You move fast, find the angle nobody else sees, and get in front of people who shouldn't be reachable.

  • You're creative and you're always testing a new way in.

  • You're a builder. You think in systems, run real experiments, and use AI tools as leverage instead of writing the same email a hundred times.

  • You can sell. You've closed real revenue, you can show the wins, and you know what it takes to move a deal from cold to signed.

  • You're hungry. You want to own a category, not warm a chair. Founding or first-five experience is a strong plus.

  • You're sharp. Strong writer, sharp on a call, and the kind of person buyers remember after meeting you once.

  • Bonus: you've sold into regulated, long-tenured industries. Insurance, fintech, or healthcare experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of $130k to $200k and meaningful equity in an early-stage company.

  • Direct ownership of the growth that powers a category-defining product.

  • Work alongside operators, builders, and founders who care about the craft.

  • Health and dental benefits.

  • Wellness benefits.

  • Dinner covered if you're in the office past 7:30pm.

  • Expenses covered for conferences, tools, and anything you need to do your job well
